Variety description

Hortblue Poppins' is a highbush blueberry with a bushy, upright, vigorous growth habit. It is very frost hardy and also very heat tolerant. For this reason 'Hortblue Poppins' is also a good candidate for pot culture on balconies and terraces. The ripening period is medium and lasts from mid-July to the end of August. The berries are large and firm. A crunchy bite is surprising in the mouth, which was obviously the inspiration for the name of the variety. The crispness is retained even after prolonged storage.
