Variety description

Lillibarber®' is quite an unusual rhubarb. At first glance, you usually don't realize that it's rhubarb, because 'Lillibarber®' looks almost more like a sorrel than a normal garden rhubarb. And the use is also closer to a sorrel than to rhubarb. Because 'Lillibarber®' is salad rhubarb for fresh consumption. Simply chop the thin stems and leaves and add to the salad. Especially in midsummer, the fresh, sour taste of 'Lillibarber®' enhances every salad.
The really compact and dwarf plant produces new leaves all year round, so there is always something to harvest. Especially with 'Lillibarber®' it can happen that small red inflorescences are formed. This is not detrimental to the plants per se, but it can lead to less yield from the leaves.
