Variety description

The fact that our unpopular hedge and field bindweed have distant relatives that produce such beautiful foliage and fantastic tasting storage tubers is quite remarkable. However, the bright purple, solid-coloured tubers of 'Purple' are yet another revelation! Packed with anthocyanins, they are also ahead of the game from a health point of view. It is already exciting that the sweet Ipomoea tubers make you feel full, but thanks to the indigestible inulin sugar they do not burden the blood sugar level. They also lower cholesterol levels. The anthocyanins that give 'Purple' its crazy colour also protect the heart and blood vessels and have an anti-inflammatory effect.

It should be noted that the Sugaroot® 'Purple' sweet potato is not only the most eye-catching and healthiest variety, but it also produces very high yields. Only the growing season is a little longer. This sweet potato variety should be planted without delay at the beginning of May.
