Variety description

Blackcurrants and variety used to be mutually exclusive. With the Cassissima® series, Lubera has bred an assortment that stands out in a pleasant way. Cassissima® 'Blackbells'® is the variety with the longest and most beautiful clusters!

Cassissima® 'Blackbells'® improves 3 important quality criteria for blackcurrants in one variety: sweeter berries, longer clusters with up to 15 berries and even larger individual berries!

The advantages are obvious: Thanks to Cassissima® 'Blackbells'®, the traditional processing fruit becomes a sweet fruit and can be picked quickly. 'Blackbells'® has a medium ripening period, beginning to mid-July. For snacking, it should be picked when fully ripe.
