Variety description

The Sugaroot® 'Chestnut' sweet potato is a special treat, sweet and with notes strongly reminiscent of chestnuts. The texture is also not as melting as that of other sweet potatoes, but a little more grainy. The variety is well suited for fries.

Like all sweet potatoes, Sugaroot® 'Chestnut' is vigorous and quickly forms a dense canopy with long shoots. The young leaves appear purple-red and then turn green. Sugaroot® 'Chestnut' reliably produces good yields.
