Variety description

The open-ground tomato OpenSky® 'Orangelina®' impresses with a profusion of small, bright orange cherry tomatoes. The intensely orange-coloured cherry tomatoes have a refreshingly sweet-and-sour flavour with a good tomato aroma. The riper the fruit becomes – the more intense the orange colour becomes – the sweeter the fruit becomes. Ideally, you should wait to harvest until the fruit is fully ripe and has turned a bright orange colour.

OpenSky® 'Orangelina®' is a vigorous stake-grown tomato variety that is best grown with two main shoots. The larger fruit set not only increases the yield but also slightly reduces vegetative growth. Removing the lower leaves reduces both the risk of infection from late blight and the rate of photosynthesis, which in turn also slows down vegetative growth.
