Variety description

The Bombyx® ‘One Million Everbearing®’ mulberry has surprised us all. The large violet-black fruits of Bombyx® ‘One Million Everbearing®’ are among the very first to ripen and continue to ripen steadily over several weeks. The fruits, which can grow up to 7 cm in size, have the typical mulberry flavour – pleasantly sweet and mild. When the fruits are still just about ripe, you can still detect slight greenish notes.

As a plant, Bombyx® ‘One Million Everbearing®’ is vigorous with very good natural branching, which means pruning is not strictly necessary. Like any mulberry, Bombyx® ‘One Million Everbearing®’ tolerates pruning very well. Without pruning, Bombyx® ‘One Million Everbearing®’ can reach a height of over 4 m. With regular pruning, Bombyx® ‘One Million Everbearing®’ can easily be kept under 3 m in the garden.
