Variety description

The Bionda® 'Patrizia' apple is a green-yellow, very good storage apple with first-class taste characteristics. The medium-sized and tall apples have a light green and slightly yellowish color at the beginning of ripening, sometimes with red cheeks. In storage, the green base color then turns into a light yellow. However, this color change does not have any negative effects on the taste. The taste of Bionda® 'Patrizia' is initially cautiously aromatic - straight from the tree. Bionda® 'Patrizia' only develops its full flavor potential in storage. It should be stored for at least 4 weeks. Then the apples from Bionda® 'Patrizia' taste very aromatic and, in addition to a high sugar content, also have a clear acidity, which is significantly softened by the amount of sugar and leads to a pleasantly refreshing taste. Bionda® 'Patrizia' is ready to pick from the second week of October.

The trees of Bionda® 'Patrizia' have medium growth, even on a weakly growing rootstock such as M9, have good garnish and are extremely productive and, like all apple varieties from the Lubera® breeding, are also scab-resistant.
