Variety description

The compact Peachly® ‘Red’ mini peach is a real eye-catcher for any garden, balcony or terrace. In spring, the intense pink flowers appear first, followed by the striking dark red leaves, and in summer there are delicious fruits to harvest and enjoy. Just like its sister varieties ‘Yellow’ and ‘White’, the Peachly® ‘Red’ mini peach is an extremely compact-growing peach tree, reaching a final height and width of around 150 cm. The only difference is its striking dark red foliage.

In May, a large number of pinkish-pink flowers appear. If a fruit were to form from every flower, it would simply be too much for such a small tree; therefore, manually thinning out the developing fruit is highly recommended. When the fruit are about the size of a thumbnail, enough should be removed so that there is about a hand’s breadth of space in all directions between the remaining fruit.

The fruits of the Peachly® ‘Red’ mini peach have a dark red skin. Beneath the dark skin, the Peachly® ‘Red’ mini peach has yellow flesh, sometimes with red marbling. The fruits taste wonderfully juicy and aromatic.
