Variety description

In contrast to its sister variety 'Joy of Kent®', the dwarf pear variety Pironi® 'Little Sweety®' has pure green and completely unfrosted fruits. The growth of Pironi® 'Little Sweety®' is also compact and well-branched and does not require any pruning measures. Pironi® 'Little Sweety®', like its sister variety, only grows slightly higher than 150 cm but is just as wide as it is tall.

The extraordinary compactness of these varieties is a genetic compactness and is not caused by a weak-growing rootstock. It is therefore necessary to graft the Pironi® and Pirini® variety groups onto a fast-growing rootstock.
