Variety description

Among the late red currants, Ribest® 'Sonette'® is a special find. It grows upright, about 150 cm high and is very healthy. In addition, it hardly tends to trickle down and consistently delivers high yields. The long clusters with the large, dark red individual berries make the harvest much easier. In terms of taste, it is the best late variety. In order to keep growth and fertility going, 2 - 3 older shoots are completely removed every year.
