Variety description

The Twotimer® raspberry 'Sugana yellow' is, apart from the yellow fruits, almost identical to Twotimer® 'Sugana', as it is a yellow-fruited sport from the latter. This can also be seen from time to time in the fruits. Regularly during the ripening period one can find fruits of 'Sugana yellow', in which one or more segments are not yellow but red-colored.
There is no difference between the Twotimer® raspberries 'Sugana yellow' and 'Sugana' in terms of growth, ripening time and fruiting behavior. Ultimately, it's the same strain just without the red dye. That's why the fruits of Twotimer® 'Sugana yellow' taste a bit sweeter and milder. Because the red pigment in the raspberry fruit is also to a certain extent a flavor carrier.
