Variety description

The sweet potato variety Sugaroot® Orange completes our Sugaroot® sweet potato range. Like the other Sugaroot® sweet potato varieties, Suagroot® Orange has a development period of around 110 days from planting to harvest.

Sugaroot® Orange plants are strong-growing and have a strikingly dark colour. Depending on the location and light intensity, this colour varies from a dark bordeaux-red to a greenish dark red. The tubers have a bright pink-red skin and light orange-coloured flesh. When cooked, Sugaroot® Orange tubers have a pleasantly sweet flavour with slightly vegetable notes of pumpkin and carrot.
