Variety description

The blue honeysuckle 'Altai' is of Siberian origin. It is very vigorous and reaches heights of up to 200 cm. Like the cultivar 'Martin', it is characterised by a very early flowering already at the end of March. Occasional late frosts at this time do not harm the plant or the flowers. As with all other varieties, it is important that a second variety blooms at the same time during the flowering period since the plants are not self-fertile. We recommend the variety 'Martin' because it also blooms very early.
