Variety description

The raspberry Primeberry® 'Autumn Happy®' is the first variety from Lubera®'s joint breeding program with the NIAB EMR research facility in East Malling/UK. For almost a decade, selections for home gardens have been rated and evaluated in the seedling fields there. And 'Autumn Happy®' is now the first variety from the joint effort.

Primeberry® 'Autumn Happy®' is a medium to strong growing autumn raspberry with a cane length of just under 200 cm. The upright rods, which are produced in large numbers every year, are completely spineless and very robust. The first ripe fruits appear on the canes from the beginning to mid-August. The fruits are huge and currently the largest we have to offer. The fruits are dark red in color and have a fine, pointed-conical shape, the typical shape of cultivars from East Malling. Anyone who claims that large/giant fruits don't taste good will be proven wrong by 'Autumn Happy®'. The fruits taste fruity and aromatic with good sugar and a fine and pleasant acidity.
