Variety description

Cassissima® 'Black Marble'® is the undisputed star among blackcurrants in terms of fruit size. The berries are comparable in size to the largest blueberries on the market. And above all: in terms of taste, they can no longer be compared to what was previously known as blackcurrants! No, the taste of Cassissima® 'Black Marble'® is sweet, juicy and mild. In addition, the seed portion of the fruit is quite small. So really a special taste experience!

Cassissima® 'Black Marble'® grows vigorously and is healthy. It is resistant to powdery mildew and keeps its foliage until autumn, which is somewhat lighter green, typical of the variety. Cassissima® 'Black Marble'® is very fertile. Ripening begins at the end of June, making it one of the earliest blackcurrants.
