Variety description

The Firstberry® 'Blue Sea' is a lowbush variety. It already blooms stably at the beginning of April. The variety grows rather broadly bushy and compact and has very healthy, blue-green foliage. 'Blue Sea' still has very attractive foliage in autumn, which is why the variety is also suitable as a compact ornamental shrub. The plant grows to a maximum height of 60 to 90 cm. This Firstberry® is characterised by its very early yield, certainly in the 2nd year of growth. You can expect a harvest of 1 - 2 kg per plant. However, you often don't get the feeling that there are so many berries hanging on the bush because they are somewhat hidden under the foliage of the lowbush Firstberries®. The "blue miracle" is often only experienced at second glance. 'Blue Sea' needs a pollinator like all Firstberries®. Our recommendation: 'Blue Velvet'.
