Variety description

Gustissimo® 'Califfo Blue'® is an elegant fig that comes from France. Very typical of it is the subtle red-purple hint on the wood and foliage - and finally also on the fruits. When ripe, the fruits turn dark purple-black and look very tasty.

In terms of growth, Gustissimo® 'Califfo Blue'® is rather weak compared to other figs. It reaches a height of 2 - 3 m when planted out in the north. Although the variety is relatively frost hardy, it should be planted in a sheltered, warm location.

'Califfo Blue'® is a typical Twotimer®. The summer figs ripen in June-July and are teardrop-shaped, while the autumn figs, which ripen from the end of August, are much rounder and more compact.
