Variety description

The 'Carmine Jewel' bush cherry was the first variety of the so-called "Prairie cherries" - known to us as bush cherries - that came onto the market and has so far developed into a real all-rounder. 'Carmine Jewel' is a variety appreciated by sour cherry lovers as well as those who prefer sweeter fruits. Because the fruits of the bush cherry 'Carmine Jewel' have not only a lot of sugar but also a good proportion of acid. So you can enjoy the fruits straight from the bush but also process them into cake, jam, juice, etc. The dark red fruits – the pulp and the juice are also surprisingly dark – are relatively small compared to the other cherry tree varieties, but the fruits of 'Carmine Jewel' also have the smallest stone of all the cherry trees on offer. This doesn't make the fruit appear so small in the mouth.
