Variety description

The autumn oleaster Pointilla® 'Fortunella®' is the variety with the warm yellow fruits. The fruits are slightly larger than those of 'Amoroso®', but also ripen somewhat later. The taste of Pointilla® 'Fortunella®' is rounder and more balanced than that of the red-fruited varieties, with a lot of sugar and also a lot of acid. This results in an extremely fruity taste.
Like all autumn oleasters, Pointilla® 'Fortunella®' and Pointilla® 'Amoroso®' are sterile themselves and should therefore be planted with the other variety as a pollinating partner. This way you get a longer harvest time and you don't have to choose between red or yellow fruits.
