Variety description

The goji variety ‘Princess Tao’ (FPW03PBR) is one of the few goji varieties that can be – and are enjoyed – eaten fresh straight from the bush. The fruits of Goji ‘Princess Tao’ taste surprisingly and pleasantly sweet and mild, without the bitter or pungent notes otherwise typical of goji. The fruits of Goji ‘Princess Tao’ are large, have a bright red-orange colour and form dense clusters. The ripening period for Goji ‘Princess Tao’ spans the whole of summer. The fruits can be harvested well into autumn.

As a plant, Goji ‘Princess Tao’ has a medium-vigorous growth habit, which is ideal for gardens that are becoming increasingly compact. The shoots, which can grow up to two metres long, have an arching growth habit, and the plants show little tendency to form runners.
