Ripeness/Harvest: Jodeli® berries should be harvested from mid-July when they are fully ripe and black. The berries can be harvested continuously over a period of 2 weeks or harvested as a whole bush at once.

Fruits: if they are harvested fully ripe, the fruits are pleasantly sweet with a fruity aroma

Taste: Compared to other Josta varieties, they are very mild and have a slight hint of cassis aroma, which is very pleasant.

Variety description

The Confi®Beere Jodeli® is a new variety of Jostaberry, which only grows to a height of around 150 cm and is therefore more compact than older varieties. It ripens in early to mid-July and forms large berries up to 2cm in size on compact clusters. Jodeli® is the sweetest variety among the new Confi® berries and is particularly suitable for fresh enjoyment and for use in desserts. It is also suitable for juices, smoothies and jams thanks to its high pectin content and fructose. The growth is well branched and the plant bears fruit even on the older wood. It is resistant to leaf fall diseases and does not require fungicides against fungal diseases.
