Variety description

The dwarf purple chokeberry 'Little Helpers' is the only genetically compact-growing chokeberry variety. Even after five years it is at most 80 cm high. Despite the low vegetative growth, it delivers high yields. The bushes are already covered from bottom to top with white clouds of flowers starting from the 2nd year of growth onwards at the flowering time in mid-May - this is a flowering dream in a class of its own! Aronia 'Little Helpers' is also very suitable for cultivation in troughs and containers, not least because chokeberries are self-fertile. Yes, 'Little Helpers' is even perfectly suited for this and thrives very well on terraces and balconies. Sufficiently large drainage holes are important to prevent waterlogging. It should also be noted that all chokeberries are also very popular with birds. So you should keep the bird protection net ready if you don't want to leave the yield to the birds.
