Variety description

Little Miss Figgy'® is one of the compact growing figs with two ripening periods. Like 'Ficcolino'®, it grows compact and bushy, branches strongly and is considered one of the best figs for pot culture. The fruits are rather small, purple-red-brown on the outside and have strawberry-colored flesh. Like 'Ficcolino'®, 'Little Miss Figgy'® is a typical representative of the "berry fig type". However, the fruit size, which may be too small for some, is compensated for by the high fertility.

'Little Miss Figgy'® is safely hardy down to -14°C. At lower temperatures, it must be protected with the usual insulation materials. A place that is too sunny can be counterproductive over the winter, especially if the fig is also in a black pot. This applies to all figs. This is because dark surfaces are warmed up by the winter sun during the day. The large day/night differences are particularly problematic in late winter, because the plants are already beginning to sprout when there is still a threat of late frost.
