Variety description

KiwiBerry® Pink Jumbo has just as green (and very sweet) flesh as the green-skinned mini kiwis, but the skin colour is - untypical for mini kiwis - bright purple. The attractive colour of the 'Pink Jumbo' fruits comes from hybridisation with Actinidia purpurea. Like all mini kiwis, it is a strong-growing climbing plant, making summer pruning mandatory. Special mention should be made of the early ripening. In good years, ripe fruits can be harvested starting in mid-September.
