Variety description

As the name suggests, the Cassissima® Black Giant® blackcurrant is an extremely large-fruited variety. The huge black fruits hang in short clusters on the strong-growing plants. In contrast to the Lowberry® Little Black Giant®, Cassissima® Black Giant® manages to produce gigantic fruits and also shows considerable growth.

The huge fruits of Cassissima® Black Giant® taste incredibly sweet and fruity, but are also particularly mild and have hardly any of the typical cassis flavour. Acidity is also only present in traces.

In addition to the fruit quality, Cassissima® Black Giant® also impresses with its plant quality. Powdery mildew is no longer a problem with Cassissima® Black Giant®.
