Variety description

'Tummelberry' is a raspberry-blackberry hybrid. The fruits look similar to raspberries, but taste more like blackberries. They are big, round and juicy. The bright red of the ripe berries is very appealing and invites you to eat them fresh.
The shrub grows vigorously and is around 2 m high, the rods are armed with spikes. 'Tumbleberry' grows like classic blackberries and fruits on biennial wood. The old rods are removed after the harvest and the new ones tied accordingly. Hardiness is good.
