Variety description

With kiwis, it is essential for a good fruit yield to plant a male variety alongside the female variety to ensure successful pollination. When choosing the male pollinator, care must be taken to ensure that the flowering periods of the male and female varieties overlap sufficiently. With large-fruited kiwis, it is often the case that yellow-fleshed and green-fleshed varieties flower at different times. We have therefore developed ‘Yellow male’ as a dedicated pollinator variety for our yellow-fleshed, large-fruited kiwi varieties.

‘Yellow male’ kiwi serves exclusively as a pollinator for large-fruited, yellow-fleshed kiwi varieties.
