Variety description

The 'Elmsblitz' rhubarb is another red-stemmed and also red-fleshed rhubarb. 'Elmsblitz' is also a classic spring rhubarb, but due to its lower oxalic acid content it can be harvested a little longer than comparable varieties. In terms of taste, 'Elmsblitz' is a typical rhubarb with intense acidity and a furry mouthfeel. Even despite the low oxalic acid content. Although this is largely responsible for the furry mouthfeel that remains after eating the rhubarb, it does not otherwise affect the taste.
